Towanna Henderson

Towanna Henderson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in youth development, community engagement, and education advocacy. Currently serving as the Manager of College Success at DSST Public Schools, Towanna is also the Founder of Beyond The Classroom, LLC, which focuses on client support in youth development and parent engagement. As a Facilitator for the Colorado Family Leadership Institute, Towanna leads a 20-week youth leadership training program that fosters civic engagement. Additionally, as an Education Columnist for the Denver Urban Spectrum, Towanna provides resources for families on education advocacy. Towanna holds a BA in Journalism/Mass Communications from Wayne State University and has played significant roles in various educational and community-focused organizations, including serving as a Career Readiness Coach at the Community College of Aurora and formerly as the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement at The Center for African American Health.
