CommUnity Crisis Services
Heather Wells currently serves as the Program Manager and Interim House Lead at Iowa City Sober Living, where responsibilities include developing residential recovery programs and collaborating with the Board of Directors. Since October 2019, Heather has also worked as a Supervisor On-Call for CommUnity Crisis Services, providing critical support in crisis counseling. Previous roles include various positions within the University of Iowa Health Care and the Burlington Community School District, highlighting expertise in mental health support and education. Heather holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services and is pursuing a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Buena Vista University.

When any situation has become too difficult for you to cope with alone, we can help. Everyone at CommUnity Crisis Services is passionate about treating those in crisis as valuable human beings. CommUnity provides immediate support through our Crisis Intervention, Food Bank & Emergency Assistance, and Community Intervention Programs. These services include a 24-hour crisis line, crisis chat and text, mobile crisis outreach, a food bank, several mobile pantry sites, emergency assistance, and training.
