Leia Scoptur

Leia Scoptur has extensive experience in the field of human resources. Leia is currently serving as the Human Resources Director at the School District of Menomonee Falls since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Milwaukee Public Schools, where they held the roles of Interim Chief Human Resources Officer from September 2018 to July 2020, Director of Employment Relations from July 2016 to September 2018, and Employment Relations Specialist from September 2012 to July 2016. Before their time at Milwaukee Public Schools, Leia worked as a Human Resources Specialist at the Wisconsin Department of Children & Families, Bureau of Human Resources from November 2011 to November 2012. Additionally, they served as a Regional Labor Representative at Milwaukee Public Schools from January 2010 to January 2012 and as a Senior Labor Relations Specialist at the State of Wisconsin, Office of State Employment Relations from June 2007 to January 2010.

From 2014 to 2016, they attended Carroll University and earned a Master's of Science degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, with a focus on General studies.

From 2005 to 2007, Leia attended Marquette University Law School, where they obtained a J.D degree. Their studies were concentrated in alternate dispute resolution (ADR), labor, and employment law.

In 2004, they briefly attended Saint Louis University School of Law, pursuing a J.D degree with a focus on general law.

Leia's educational journey began in 1995 at Carroll University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Political Science and History, with a secondary education focus.
