Bill Gunckel, CISSP, MBA

Bill Gunckel, CISSP, MBA has extensive work experience in the field of information security and technology. Bill currently holds the position of Vice President of Information Security at Community First Credit Union in Appleton, Wisconsin. Bill has been with the company since April 2021.

Prior to their current role, Bill served as an Information Security Manager at Navitus Health Solutions from November 2019 to April 2021. Bill also worked as a Senior Manager of Information Security at Thrivent from May 2018 to June 2019 and as an Information Security Manager at Jewelers Mutual Insurance Group from August 2015 to April 2018.

Bill's career also includes roles in consulting and advisory, where they worked as a Consultant/Advisory from June 2019 to November 2019. Bill has also served as a Board Member at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region since January 2023.

Prior to their roles in information security, Bill gained experience in information technology at Ministry Health Care from January 2007 to August 2015 and at Affinity Health System from February 1998 to January 2007.

Throughout their career, Bill has demonstrated a strong focus on information security and has utilized their expertise to drive secure and efficient technology solutions.

Bill Gunckel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Lakeland University. Bill later went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Additionally, Bill Gunckel holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)².
