Austin Brewer

Chief Impact Officer at Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma

Austin Brewer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. From 2018 to the present, they have been working at the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, starting as the Manager of Agency Network Services and eventually progressing to become the Director of Agency Services and Disaster Response. From 2022 to 2023, they served as the VP of Strategic Initiatives, where they focused on enhancing the organization's innovative capabilities. Currently, they hold the position of Chief of Staff, overseeing strategic initiatives and relationships for the organization.

Prior to their work at the Food Bank, Austin was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee from 2016 to 2018. During this time, they assisted with community-based research and systematic reviews related to nutrition and physical activity in children and adolescents.

Before that, Austin was an intern at the Danville Regional Foundation in 2017, where they examined the city of Danville to identify gaps in healthy food access and presented strategies for creating a healthier food network. Austin also gained experience as a Nutrition Assistant at Stillwater Medical Center in 2015 and as part of the Colvin Recreation Center Operations Staff at Oklahoma State University from 2014 to 2015.

Additionally, Austin worked as a Production Assistant at Mojo Sports from 2010 to 2014, served on the Presidential Leadership Council at Rose State College from 2012 to 2014, and worked as Ropes Course Staff at Falls Creek in 2013.

Austin Brewer completed an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Rose State College from 2012 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences at Oklahoma State University, which they completed from 2014 to 2016. Lastly, they obtained a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2016 to 2017.
