Hal Cato has extensive experience in leadership roles within nonprofit and enterprise sectors, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee since November 2022. Previously, Cato led Thistle Farms as CEO from October 2015 to June 2022, overseeing strategic direction for its residential, social enterprises, and community engagement initiatives. Prior roles include CEO of Zeumo, a mobile communication management solution, from January 2012 to September 2015, and President & CEO of the Oasis Center from October 2001 to October 2011, where fundraising and community relations were pivotal. Earlier career achievements include serving as VP of Development at Bright Horizons Family Solutions and founding Hands on Nashville, dedicated to community volunteerism. Cato holds a B.S.J. from the University of Mississippi.
