Sara Swaney

Sara Swaney is a seasoned professional in development and donor services with extensive experience in nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as the Senior Development and Donor Services Officer at the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County since January 2025, Sara previously held the position of Development Officer at The Pittsburgh Foundation from October 2021 to January 2025. Prior to that, numerous roles were undertaken at 412 Food Rescue, including Vice President of Advancement & Engagement and various director-level positions, from August 2017 to October 2021. Earlier career experiences include Development Associate at Westmoreland County Food Bank and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at The Salvation Army. Additional roles at Comcast and Coro Center for Civic Leadership spanned from January 2005 to January 2005 and February 2003 to January 2005, respectively. Sara holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Duquesne University, obtained between 1997 and 2001.
