Policy Manager at The National Lottery Community Fund

Mhairi Holland has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to the present. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Tennis Assistant at The Coach Academy until 2015. From 2013 to 2015, they also worked as a Shop Assistant at SportCrest. In 2015, Mhairi joined Ofgem as a Policy Analyst, where they investigated compliance with tariff rules and monitored supplier compliance with the Standards of Conduct. In 2017, they moved on to the UK Home Office as a Graduate Policy Intern, where they coordinated legislative requirements for EU Exit and led on the Immigration Bill's Policy Equality Statement. In 2018, Mhairi became a Senior Tourism Policy Adviser at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), where they led policy development and delivery on various areas, including transport, digital infrastructure, hospitality, and regulation. Mhairi worked across Whitehall to drive tourism policy forward and provided high-quality briefings and policy recommendations to Ministers and the Secretary of State. Currently, Mhairi holds the position of Policy Manager at The National Lottery Community Fund, starting in 2022.

Mhairi Holland obtained a Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath, completing their studies from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Wycombe High School from 2007 to 2011, where they pursued A Levels in Politics, Maths, Economics, Spanish (AS), and Extended Project Qualification (AS). Mhairi also earned additional certifications, including a Part Time Foundation in Film Producing from MetFilm School London in March 2019 and a Level 1 Tennis Coaching Qualification from 1st4sport Qualifications in October 2011.
