Judy Spencer

Judy Spencer is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in acquisitions, development, and corporate law. Currently serving as the Assistant General Counsel for Acquisitions and Development at Community Health Systems since July 2022, Judy previously held the position of Senior Director of Choice at the Tennessee Department of Education, where support and oversight for charter and private schools were provided. Judy’s earlier roles include serving as Member at Riggs Davie PLC, where representation for various industries in mergers, acquisitions, and compliance matters was a focus, as well as Vice President of Business Development at Delek US Holdings, leading asset acquisition negotiations. Prior experience also includes roles at HealthTrust Purchasing Group, Emdeon, and Bass, Berry & Sims, with a strong foundation in health care law and corporate finance. Judy holds a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School, an MBA in Corporate Finance from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University.
