Kirsten Elliott believes that every individual deserves a chance to overcome trauma. She also believes that affordable housing is an essential part of a holistic approach to a fresh start, opening doors, and transforming lives.

Kirsten has spent her career developing affordable housing communities and creating housing resources for vulnerable populations. In her role as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Kirsten collaborates with CHN’s President, Board of Directors, and community partners to set and drive the organization’s vision and organizational strategy. She also oversees real estate and development initiatives at CHN.

Kirsten is integral in developing CHN’s strategies for growth and sustainability, always looking toward the future. Kirsten also oversees company operations focusing on building an inclusive culture. In addition, Kirsten works with CHN’s clients, communities, and stakeholders to better understand and serve residents across the state of Michigan.

Kirsten Elliott has more than 20 years of experience as an administrator of project and program development, creating affordable housing for people in need. She is a passionate advocate for sustainable, inclusive communities with a vast knowledge of disability issues. She is seasoned in affordable real estate development. Kirsten is accomplished at securing permanent solutions through proven homeless prevention strategies while being responsive to the community’s changing needs.

Her expertise has provided the opportunity for disenfranchised members of society to attain the dream of living in safe, affordable homes in communities of their choice.

Kirsten is a committed, experienced nonprofit administrator of a federally funded community development organization. Her nonprofit management leadership experience extends through diverse activities, including extensive involvement utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop and implement procedures and projects.
