Sarah Mahoney has a diverse range of work experience in the field of Human Resources. Sarah started their career in 2007 as a Personnel Officer at Prison Service Plus, where they successfully redeployed staff at risk of redundancy and provided accurate advice and information to staff and management. From 2008 to 2015, they worked at St Helens Council, starting as an HR Assistant and progressing to the roles of Assistant HR Officer and HR Team Leader. During their time at the council, they gained experience in conducting investigations, managing sickness absence, processing maternity leave, and advising on flexible working and recruitment. Since 2015, they have been working at Community Integrated Care, initially as an Employee Relations Specialist and later as Head of Employee Relations and HR Business Partner. In these roles, they coached and supported managers in disciplinary, grievance, and performance cases, trained managers on employee relations, and contributed to policy reviews.
Sarah Mahoney completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies at The University of Manchester from 2001 to 2004. Sarah later pursued a degree in Personnel and Development, earning a CIPD qualification from St Helens College between 2008 and 2011.
