Community Living Ontario is a nonprofit, provincial confederation that advocates for the inclusion of people who have an intellectual disability in all aspects of community life. We envision a society where people who have an intellectual disability belong, have equal rights, respect and acceptance, a sense of self-worth, and opportunities for growth. The gifts, uniqueness and innate value of each individual are celebrated, supported and acknowledged as essential to the completeness of the whole community.

Our goal is for people who have an intellectual disability to live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively. 

Community Living Ontario proudly serves and advocates on behalf of more than 12,000 members across the province. We promote and champion the inherent value, dignity, and human rights of people who have an intellectual disability.

The Support Services Team at Community Living Ontario provides comprehensive and individualized assistance to people who have an intellectual disability. This team comprises various dedicated professionals, including Direct Support Facilitators, Residential Support Workers, Respite Workers, Counselors, Caseworkers, and Direct Support Professionals. Their primary role is to ensure that individuals receive appropriate support to live dignified, inclusive, and fulfilling lives within their communities. They assist with daily living activities, emotional support, specialized treatment, and advocacy for their clients' rights and well-being.

The Community Development and Engagement team at Community Living Ontario focuses on fostering inclusive communities by building partnerships, orchestrating awareness campaigns, and facilitating community programs. They work to engage diverse groups, promote the rights and dignity of people with intellectual disabilities, and create opportunities for meaningful participation in all aspects of community life.
