Miriam Lakes

Miriam Lakes, FNP-BC, currently serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Community Medical Centers, Inc. since October 2021. Prior to this role, Miriam gained experience as a Student Geriatric Associate at Penn Medicine, where responsibilities included providing care to hospitalized geriatric patients, supporting discharge assessments, and documenting in RedCap and EPIC. Additional experience includes leading an interprofessional team at Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, coordinating a student-run health clinic at United Community Clinic, and volunteering in patient care roles at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Hospice Of New York. Miriam holds a Master of Science in Family Practice Nursing from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, complemented by prior degrees in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute and Studio Art from Oberlin College.
