Elyse Weakley is a talented composer, performer, and recording artist with a passion for music. Elyse is the founder of Strike A Chord and has been working as a piano instructor at San Francisco Community Music Center since September 2015. Elyse holds a Master of Music (M.M.) in Piano Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music from Colorado College.

Founded in 1921, San Francisco’s Community Music Center (CMC) is one of the oldest and largest community arts organizations on the West Coast. CMC makes high quality music accessible to all people, regardless of financial means. Last year, CMC awarded nearly $2.4 million in tuition assistance, serving more than 3,100 students of all ages, ethnicities and income levels with music lessons, classes and other programs.
