Francis Hon

Francis Hon is an experienced music educator and performer serving as an Adjunct Professor of Piano at the University of Massachusetts Lowell since September 2023, where Francis teaches classical and jazz/pop piano along with composition. In addition, Francis has been an active Pianist and Arranger at SoundBetter since June 2020, creating piano arrangements for global clients and recording jazz piano for remote sessions. As an Official Steinway Educational Partner for Steinway & Sons since September 2019, Francis has been recognized as a Top Piano Teacher in 2024 and engages the community through recitals and workshops at Steinway Hall New York. With a strong background in instruction, Francis has taught various piano and music theory lessons through Thumbtack and previously instructed piano at New York University. Francis holds advanced degrees in music from New York University, The University of Texas at Austin, and Tunghai University.
