Matthew Frizzell has a diverse work experience in the religious sector. Matthew started their career in 1997 as a Youth Minister in the Midlands Mission Center. Matthew then became a Pastor for the Highlands Community of Christ congregation, where they focused on increasing contributions and attendance. In 2008, Frizzell took on the role of Mission Center President in Chicago, where they developed regional ministerial development and theological education programs. From 2011, they served as the Dean of Community of Christ Seminary at Graceland University, where they also worked as a Campus Minister and Faculty member. Currently, Frizzell is employed as the Director of Human Resource Ministries at the Community of Christ, where they provide strategic and operational leadership in human resources for professional ministers and staff worldwide.
Matthew Frizzell completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Religion (minor) at Graceland University from 1992 to 1996. Matthew then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) from Saint Paul School of Theology, graduating in 2001. Matthew Frizzell continued their academic journey at Chicago Theological Seminary, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Theology/Theological Studies in 2010.
