Community of Literary Magazines and Presses
Chelsea Kern serves as the Programs Director at the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses, overseeing over 25 events annually and managing partnerships within the literary community. As a DEI Outreach, Programs, and Strategic Partnerships ACLS Leading Edge Fellow, Chelsea initiated programs targeting BIPOC and underserved groups in literary publishing. Previous experience includes a role as a Doctoral Researcher at UCLA, focusing on the intersection of digital technologies and contemporary literature, and serving as a Graduate Teaching Fellow, where Chelsea designed and taught various English literature courses. Additional roles include mentoring at the UCLA Undergraduate Research Center and teaching English at Northwestern Polytechnical University. Chelsea holds a PhD and MA in English from UCLA and a BA in English from Whitman College.
