We believe creative play is essential to childhood. Community Playthings produces solid wood furniture and play equipment to support play and creativity in nurseries and primary schools. Play is a child’s natural means of expression and discovery. When children re-enact their lives in play with others, they grow socially, and their understanding of their world is strengthened. Movement is important; it is actually what enables children to sit still. As children climb, jump, build and lift, they develop problem-solving as well as physical skills.
