James Manzano

James Manzano is a Math Learning Specialist and 5th Grade Teacher at Community Roots Charter School, as well as an Educational Coach and Workshop Facilitator at Roots ConnectED. Previously, James worked as a Curriculum Consultant at the NYC Department of Education and as a Museum Educator at the Brooklyn Historical Society. James has experience as a Fourth Grade Teacher and Math Specialist, as well as a First Grade Teacher at East Village Community School. Additionally, James has held positions at the New York Public Library and Swarthmore College. James holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Inclusive Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Literature, Language, and Culture from Swarthmore College.
