Daemond Arrindell

Teaching Artist at Community-Word Project

Daemond Arrindell is an experienced Teaching Artist and Arts & Equity Consultant with a diverse background in creative writing and arts education. Currently serving as a Teaching Artist for both the Community-Word Project and DreamYard Project, Daemond works alongside educators to promote project-based learning infused with social justice while enhancing students' creative and critical thinking skills. With a strong history of involvement in various educational settings, including faculties at Seattle University and Freehold Theatre Lab/Studio, and as a Poet in Residence at Skagit River Poetry Foundation, Daemond has dedicated years to engaging underserved populations through the arts. Daemond's previous role as Youth Services Manager at Crisis Connections involved leading initiatives focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention for youth. Daemond holds a degree from Goddard College.
