Tracey Bey Johnson

Tracey Bey Johnson is currently the Director at Community-Word Project. Prior to that, they were a Designer at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia from November 2002 to November 2008, where they were the lead product/industrial designer for the Martha Stewart Holiday Trim ornamentation assortment sold at Macy's and Kmart. Tracey also served as a product/graphic designer for MS line sold at Kodak Gallery, Shutterfly and Michael's. In August 2011, they became the Gifting and Fashion Accessories Designer at Henri Bendel until January 2013. There, they were responsible for conceptualizing, designing and implementing products such as cosmetic bags, stationery, tech accessories, pet accessories and holiday ornaments for Henri Bendel's private label. After a brief stint as a freelance designer, they became the owner and principal designer of Trace Paper Art+Design. Prior to all of this, they were the Director of Multicultural Recruitment/Admission Counselor at Sarah Lawrence College from June 2001 to November 2002.

Tracey Bey Johnson has a MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design, a BA Liberal Arts in Studio Art and US Theirtory from Sarah Lawrence College, and General Studies from the University of Virginia. Tracey taught 9-12 at Montclair High School and K-8 at Montclair Kimberly Academy.
