Community Youth Services
Amanda Bronkema is an experienced educator and professional with a diverse background in special education, youth counseling, and marketing. Currently serving as a 7th-grade resource room teacher at Olympia School District since January 2017, Amanda also works as an Associate Counselor for Community Youth Services, focusing on providing support to at-risk youth. Previous roles include marketing manager at Apple Tree Productions, communications technician at Capital Region Educational Service District #113, membership representative at The Y (YMCA), and various positions in hospitality and event coordination. Amanda holds a Master's degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University, complemented by a study abroad experience in Business and Marketing at Nottingham Trent University.
Community Youth Services
Community Youth Services (CYS) is a non-profit organization actively working in the communities in Thurston, Mason, Lewis and Pierce counties. Through an array of programs CYS offers a continuum of care to help youth, ages 12-24, find their way toward safety, stability and success. Our programs cover juvenile justice, early intervention, out-of-home care, employment and education, behavioral health and wellness, and shelter and housing.
