Perla Ni is the founder and CEO of CommunityConnect Labs. Perla has dedicated their career to building technology solutions that enable social change.
Perla was the founder of the Census Outreach project, which provided technology solutions to enable a fair and accurate 2020 Census. Governments and nonprofits used their solutions to engage more than 5 million people to participate in the census.
Prior to that, Perla was the founder and chairman of VoterWatch, a nonpartisan nonprofit that allowed users to easily and conveniently search, annotate and share videos of Congressional hearings.
Perla has also advised ClickTV, the first social, in-video commenting platform, on how to use their technology for annotation of government, nonprofit and instructional video.
In addition to their work in technology, Perla is also the founder and publisher of Stanford Social Innovation Review, a leading magazine on social change. Perla was also the cofounder and editor in chief of Grassroots Enterprise, a magazine about social entrepreneurship.
Perla Ni received a BA in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley and a JD from Harvard Law School.
