Carmine has over 25 years of experience working in the mental health field. Carmine started their career as a Mental Health Screener at Saint Clare's Health System in 1992. In 1996, Carmine became a Psychotherapist at A Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy Services and held that position for 15 years. In 1999, Carmine started working as the Clinical Coordinator at the Mental Health Association of Morris County and held that position for 3 years.

In 2002, Carmine left the Mental Health Association of Morris County to become the Executive Director at COMMUNITY HOPE INC, where they have been working for 18 years.

Carmine V. Deo has earned both a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a Master of Business Administration from Centenary University.
