Joschka Weltgen

Chief Strategy Officer at Compado

Joschka Weltgen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Joschka is currently an Official Member of Forbes Agency Council starting in 2022. From 2020 to the present, they have worked at Compado, initially as Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for goal setting, PR & Communications, and organizational development. Joschka also served as Interim Chief Vertical Officer/CVO and Interim Head of Finance & HR during their time at Compado.

Prior to that, Weltgen worked at Omniga GmbH & Co. KG from 2018 to 2020, where they held the position of Head of Marketing and later Team Leader for Marketing. Joschka was responsible for the performance marketing department, including social media, search engines, cooperation marketing, and affiliate marketing.

From 2016 to 2018, Weltgen was the Founder & Head of Marketing at Indiependance Mothership GmbH, where they led a team of two employees and managed freelancers. Joschka was responsible for the marketing and product strategy, monetization, traffic acquisition and sales, and online marketing-based business model development.

Before that, Weltgen worked at Wando Internet Solutions GmbH as an Online Marketing Project Manager and Trainee, as well as at Aladin Group as a Junior Manager (Offline Marketing) and Werkstudent (Offline Marketing). Joschka also had internships at Aladin USA Inc. and Aladin Group.

Weltgen's earliest work experience was as Vice Chairman of EBSpreneurship, a student organization, from 2010 to 2011.

Joschka Weltgen completed their Bachelor of Science degree in General Management & Business Law at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht from 2010 to 2013. In 2012, they participated in a semester abroad program at Rutgers University, focusing on Supply Chain Management.

After pursuing professional certifications, Joschka obtained the TOEFL certification from ETS Global in March 2011 and the IHK (German Chamber of Commerce) Junior Management Certificate in September 2009.

Joschka later obtained their Master of Science degree in Online Marketing & E-Commerce from the Austrian Institute of Management (AIM) from 2018 to 2020.
