Compania General de Electricidad SA (CGE) is a Chile-based company principally engaged in the energy sector. The Company main activities include the generation, transmission and supply of electric energy, as well as in the storage, distribution and sale of natural and liquefied gas in Chile. The Company also participates in the investments related to a range of services complementary to energy sector, such as information technology, development of electrical transformers, logistics and real estate. As of December 31, 2012, the Company owned such direct and indirect subsidiaries as CGE Distribucion SA, Compania Nacional de Fuerza Electrica SA, CGE Magallanes SA, Emel Atacama SA, CGE Argentina SA, Transnet SA and Tecnet SA, among others.
