أُنشئ مركز الملك فيصل للبحوث والدراسات الإسلامية سنة 1403هـ/ 1983م لمواصلة الرسالة النبيلة للملك فيصل بن عبدالعزيز رحمه الله (1906- 1975م) في نشر العلم والمعرفة بين المملكة وبقية دول العالم. ويعدُّ المركز منصة بحثٍ تجمع بين الباحثين والمؤسسات لحفظ العمل العلمي ونشره وإنتاجه، ويهدف إلى توسيع نطاق المؤلفات والبحوث الحالية؛ لتقديمها إلى صدارة المناقشات والمساهمات العلمية، واهتمامات المجتمعات الإسلامية في العلوم الإنسانية، والعلوم الاجتماعية، والفنون والآداب. الرؤية أن نكون نبعًا إنسانيًّا للمعرفة العلمية والفكرية والثقافية. الرسالة: إثراء المشهدين العلمي والثقافي محليًّا وعالميًّا ببحوث أصلية وموارد وخبرات فريدة. The King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) was established in 1983 to continue the noble mission of the late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz (1906-1975) in transmitting knowledge between the Kingdom and the rest of the world. The Center serves as a platform for research bringing together researchers and institutions to preserve, publish, and produce scholastic work. The Center aims to expand the scope of existing literature and research so as to bring to the forefront of scholarly discussions the contributions and roles of Muslim societies in the humanities, the social sciences, literature, the and arts – historically, as well as today.
