Roman Elizarov has significant experience in the field of programming and computer science, currently serving as the ICPC NERC Chief Judge at Saint-Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics since 1997, where responsibilities include designing problems and test cases for competitive programming contests. From October 2016 to October 2023, Roman held the position of Kotlin Project Lead at JetBrains, focusing on the future development of the Kotlin programming language, after serving as the Kotlin Libraries Team Lead, contributing to the language's multi-paradigm and multi-platform capabilities. Prior to that, Roman worked at Devexperts from July 2002 to November 2020 as a Fellow in concurrent and distributed programming research and as CTO, emphasizing technology leadership, experimentation, and education. Additionally, Roman directed the ACM ICPC 2013 World Finals in St. Petersburg, Russia. Roman holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from ITMO University, completed between 1995 and 2000.
