Markella Koutsouradi

Markella Koutsouradi currently serves as a Module Leader at Μητροπολιτικό Κολλέγιο and is a Researcher at GIRES-Global Institute for Research, Education & Scholarship. In addition, Markella functions as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Piraeus and holds the position of Managing Editor at Journal Middle East Forum. Markella's past roles include Researcher and PhD Student at the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport - University of the Aegean, and Teaching Assistant where responsibilities included teaching in International Law of the Sea, Geopolitics, and Political Geography. Markella's academic credentials include a PhD in Marine Policy and Linguistics from the University of the Aegean, alongside a Master's degree in Shipping, Trade, and Transport, and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature. Currently, Markella is pursuing postdoctoral research in Geostrategy, Energy, and Shipping focused on the Arctic region at the University of Piraeus.
