Abdulaziz Almalik is currently serving as the Deputy Minister for Research & Innovation at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture since February 2023. Their prior roles include senior advisor at the Research, Development and Innovation Authority from October 2022 to January 2023 and a member of the National Committee of Education, Culture & Science at the Ministry of Culture from September 2021 to January 2023. Abdulaziz has extensive experience in bioethics, holding the position of Chairman of the National Committee of Bioethics from September 2019 to January 2023, and has been a board member at the National Institute for Health Research and the Saudi Camel Race Federation. A research professor at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology from December 2013 to January 2023, Abdulaziz has also held executive roles in research management. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The University of Manchester and a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow.
