Dr. Omar A.

Dr. Omar A. has a diverse work experience in the field of municipal and transport departments. Dr. Omar began their career in 2002 at Al Ain Municipality, where they served as the Head of GIS Section and later as a Spatial Data specialist until 2010. In 2013, Dr. Omar joined the Department of Municipality Affairs as the Director of the Spatial Data & Property Division. Concurrently, they also worked as the Director of the Spatial Data Division at the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities. Since 2020, Dr. Omar has been an Acting Executive Director and currently serves as the Executive Director of the Information Technology Affairs Sector at the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

Dr. Omar A. holds a Doctor - PHD degree in Geomatics Engineering - Mobile LiDAR Mapping System from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they obtained from 2014 to 2020. Dr. Omar also has a Master Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University, completed in 2010-2011, and a Master's degree in GIS & remote sensing from United Arab Emirates University, earned from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Omar'seducational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Information Security from UAEU, where they studied from 2002 to 2007.
