Lisa Fishman

Lisa Fishman has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Lisa is currently serving as the Chief Operations Officer at Compass Charter Schools since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Assistant Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, and Director of Operations at the same company from 2015 to 2020.

Before joining Compass Charter Schools, Lisa worked as the Business/Human Resources/Office Manager at the Academy of Arts and Sciences from 2015 to 2016.

From 2011 to 2015, they served as the Human Resources Manager/Office Manager at Keystone Management, Inc, where they efficiently performed HR functions and managed workplace issues for multiple offices.

Prior to that, Lisa worked as the Human Resources Manager/Office Manager at Ivy Academia Charter School from 2008 to 2011. Lisa was responsible for managing a range of HR functions, creating policies and procedures, and recruiting employees.

Lisa began their career as the District Manager at Organic To Go from 2005 to 2008. Lisa oversaw multiple retail cafes, managed budgets and P&L controls, and mentored cafe managers.

Before that, they served as the General Manager at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf from 2001 to 2005.

Lisa's earliest work experience was as the Catering Director at Truly Yours Catering from 1999 to 2001. Lisa was responsible for building relationships, selling catered events, and specializing in wedding catering.

Lisa Fishman attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, where they studied Business. Lisa obtained additional certifications including a Charter Business Officer (CBO) from the Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC) in May 2019, a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Society of Human Resources Management in June 2017, and became a Notary Public through the California Secretary of State in October 2011.
