Monique Grimes

Monique Grimes is an experienced educator currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Compass Charter Schools since March 2017, after previously working as a Virtual Learning Specialist at the same institution. Prior to this role, Monique was a Digital Literacy Teacher at the Academy of Arts and Sciences from October 2014 to April 2017, and an Art Teacher at Darnall Charter School from 2012 to July 2014, as well as at Innovations Academy from August 2011 to June 2012. Monique's early career includes a position as a server at The Wave House San Diego from April 2007 to May 2012. Academically, Monique holds a Master's degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University, completed between 2003 and 2004, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from California State University, Northridge, earned from 2000 to 2002, and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Ventura College, completed between 1998 and 2000.
