Simal Iftikhar

Simal Iftikhar is an experienced professional with a strong background in communications, project coordination, and research within educational and health service settings. Currently serving as the Communications Coordinator at Compass Early Learning & Care since June 2023, Simal is responsible for internal and external communications, as well as promoting learning experiences related to staff and children while focusing on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). Prior experience includes roles as an Administrative Assistant at Peterborough Youth Services and Project Coordinator at Trent University, where Simal worked closely with the registrar's office. Simal has also contributed as an EDI Officer and practicum student at Trent University, focusing on projects aimed at supporting postpartum women and improving mental health clinics. Simal holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education from Trent University.
