Vice President - Operations & Quality at Compass Hospitality

Erik W. has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Erik began their career in 2010 as a Business Analyst at Pan Pacific Hotels Group, where they were responsible for strategic planning, asset review, and feasibility analysis for various properties. In 2011, they joined Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore as an Operations Manager, focusing on business analysis and quality control. In 2014, Erik became the Quality Manager at Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford, overseeing quality assurance. Erik then worked as a Consultant at LQA - Leading Quality Assurance from 2018 to 2019. Currently, Erik is serving as the Vice President of Operations & Quality at Compass Hospitality since March 2019.

Erik W. has a diverse education history spanning several years and institutions. In 1998, they obtained a Diploma of Hospitality and Tourism Management from César Ritz Colleges Switzerland. In 1999, they furthered their education at Macquarie University, where they earned a Bachelor of Business in Hospitality & Tourism Management.

In 2005, Erik pursued two simultaneous Master's degrees at Monash University, specializing in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Erik completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Risk Management in 2007.

Continuing their education, Erik attended Aarhus University's Aarhus BSS in 2007, participating in the European Summer School for Advanced Management, with a focus on Business Administration and Management.

In 2018, Erik obtained an Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). Erik further expanded their knowledge and skills by obtaining a Certificate in Mastering Design Thinking from the MIT Sloan School of Management in the same year.

Additionally, in 2019, Erik earned a Certificate in Leading a Culture of Service Excellence from Cornell University. Erik later obtained a Certificate in Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles from HarvardX in 2021.

Currently, Erik W. is pursuing a Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management degree at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with a specialization in Hospitality Administration/Management.

Throughout their education, Erik has also obtained several additional certifications. Erik became an ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 Lead Auditor for Quality and Food Safety certifications, respectively, through the International Register of Certificated Auditors. Erik received the PCQI certification from The Chartered Quality Institute, and in 2012, they became a Certified International Project Manager (CIPM) through the IAPM International Association of Project Managers.
