Fabien Roques

Fabien Roques is a prominent expert in energy economics with over a decade of experience in various high-level positions. Currently serving as Executive Vice President at Compass Lexecon since September 2013, Fabien leads the European Energy practice. Fabien also holds the role of part-time Associate Professor at the European University Institute's Florence School of Regulation since January 2016, where the focus is on training in energy markets. Additionally, Fabien is an Affiliate Professor in Economics at Université Paris Dauphine and an Associate Researcher at the University of Cambridge's Energy Policy Research Group. Prior roles include Senior Director at IHS CERA, positions at CERA, and an Economist at the International Energy Agency. Academic credentials include a PhD in Energy Economics and an MSc in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge, as well as engineering and economics degrees from Centrale Lyon and Université Lumière Lyon 2, respectively.
