Gloriana Alvarez has a diverse work experience in the fields of economics and market intelligence consulting. Gloriana began their career as an Intern Analyst at Emerging Asia Group, where they conducted research and analysis on business problems in emerging Asian markets. Gloriana then worked as a Nanoeconomics Intern at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, where they focused on modeling vertical integration trends in the solar industry. Alvarez then joined Compass Lexecon, starting as an Analyst and progressing through roles such as Senior Analyst, Economist, Senior Economist, and currently serving as Vice President. In their current role, they manage case teams and supports clients in M&A and antitrust litigation cases, while also gathering, cleaning, and analyzing large sets of data for reports and government filings.
Gloriana Alvarez completed their education at various institutions. Gloriana attended Lincoln School in San Jose, Costa Rica, from 2006 to 2009, where they earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Gloriana then enrolled in Vassar College from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mandarin Chinese. In 2011, they participated in the CET Academic Programs in Shanghai, China, focusing on Chinese Studies and Economics. Lastly, from 2015 to 2018, Gloriana pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Economics at The Johns Hopkins University.
