George Lae

George Lae is an experienced landman with a comprehensive background in mineral and royalty management, lease acquisition, due diligence, and title analysis. Currently serving as a landman at Compass Royalty Management LLC since August 2022, George has managed mineral and royalty operations across the lower 48 states. Prior to this role, George founded Troubadour Energy, LLC, where responsibilities included lease acquisition, project management, and serving as an expert witness in land and title matters. Previous experience encompasses positions at Coastal Land Services, Angelle & Donohue Oil & Gas Properties, and Classic Petroleum, demonstrating a strong foundation in land negotiation, contract services, and extensive due diligence. George holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Professional Land & Resource Management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
