Melissa Brundin has worked in the scientific field since 2012. Melissa began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Villanova University in 2012 and then moved on to become a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Connecticut from 2013 to 2020. During their time at the University of Connecticut, they presented lecture material and laboratory protocol to undergraduate students, as well as demonstrating laboratory techniques, supervising experiments, and grading laboratory exams and assignments. In 2020, they began their current role as a Scientist I at Compass Therapeutics Inc.
Melissa Brundin earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General from Villanova University between 2009 and 2013. Melissa then went on to receive their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Biology, Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of Connecticut in 2020. Melissa is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which is expected to be completed in 2025.
