Thomas Castiglione

Thomas Castiglione is an AI Scientist II at VantAI since February 2024, bringing a strong background in computational biology. Previously, Thomas held roles as a Master Thesis Student at EPFL, focusing on enhancing a diffusion-based drug generative model and transforming it into a docking tool, and as a Teaching Assistant in Analysis, Mathematics, and Programming. As a Student Research Assistant, Thomas investigated enzymatic reaction fingerprints using BERT models. Prior experience includes a Data Science Internship at Metadvice, where Thomas developed neural networks for clinical decision support in precision medicine and modeled glucose-insulin interactions in type II diabetes patients. Thomas earned a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences Engineering from EPFL.
