Amy Hiorns

Amy Hiorns began their work experience as a Trainee Accountant at Deloitte Czech Republic in January 2006 and held this position until November 2008. Amy then became an Audit Senior at the same company from December 2008 to February 2009. In October 2009, they joined Compassion UK as a Finance Director, responsible for the Finance Department and contributing to the strategic direction of the organization. In July 2015, they were promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Compassion UK, a position they currently hold.

Amy Hiorns completed their education in a chronological order. From 2001 to 2004, they attended the University of Cape Town where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Science degree with a focus on Finance Honours (C.A. Option). Following this, in 2005, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the same university. Finally, from 2006 to 2008, Amy attended the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants to become a Chartered Accountant, majoring in Accounting.
