Meg Nakahara

Meg Nakahara has extensive experience in capacity building and science communication, currently serving as Associate Director of Capacity Building, Science Communication Trainer, Policy Engagement Associate, and Policy Engagement Specialist at COMPASS since September 2015. Previously, Meg worked as a Geoscience Policy Associate at The American Geosciences Institute and completed a Public Affairs Internship at the American Geophysical Union, emphasizing the integration of science in policy-making. Early career experiences include roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at the William D. Ruckelshaus Center, Flood Program Specialist Intern at FEMA, and Consumer Fraud Student Mediator for the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York. Meg holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
