Jen Szymanski

Jen Szymanski is an accomplished independent contractor and author with extensive experience in science writing and education. Currently affiliated with National Geographic Kids, Complexly (including SciShow and Crash Course), and the Encyclopedia Britannica, Szymanski specializes in creating and managing science education content. Previous roles include managing editor positions at All Things Human and Human Light and Power Company, where Szymanski focuses on making complex scientific concepts accessible to the general public. With a background in higher education as a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh, Szymanski holds a Master's of Science in Physiology from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duquesne University.
