Emelia Nguyen has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Emelia began their career as an English as a Foreign Language Teacher at Christian Life Community School in 2010. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as an English Teacher at Willis Jepson Middle School. In 2018, Emelia joined Alta Public Schools as the Dept. Chair and IB English Teacher, where they played a key role in developing and delivering a rigorous DP language and literature program. Emelia also served as the Yearbook and Extended Essay Coordinator. Emelia then transitioned to the Los Angeles Unified School District in 2021, working as a Teacher of Record for Honors English. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Learning & Instructional Design at ComplyAuto, starting in 2022.
Emelia Nguyen obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Simpson University from the years 2004 to 2008. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Education from the University of California, Davis from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Emelia has obtained various certifications including a California Single Subject Teaching Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing in June 2014. Emelia also obtained several certifications related to instructional design and e-learning from institutions like LinkedIn and 360training in 2022 and 2023.
