Jason Vincent-Newson

Jason Vincent-Newson is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in electronics design and management. Currently serving as Engineering Manager for Power Electronics at Compound Semiconductor Applications (CSA) Catapult since December 2023, Jason previously held the position of Technical Staff Engineer at Microchip Technology Inc. from January 2021 to December 2023, leading R&D teams on projects involving compound semiconductor technology for renewable energy and electric vehicle applications. Prior experience includes managing the Electronics Design Team at Curtiss-Wright Industrial Group, serving as Senior Electronic Design Engineer at Penny and Giles, and working as a freelance electronic design specialist. Jason also held various engineering roles at HCJB World Radio and BBC, starting a career as a Broadcast Engineer after earning a Beng (Hons) in Electronic Systems from the University of Essex in 1990.
