Michelle Kinnison

Michelle Kinnison has extensive work experience in the field of mental health services. Michelle began their career in 2001 at Truman Medical Centers, where they held various roles including Clinical Coordinator, Unit Secretary, and Nurse Recruiter Assistant. In 2005, they transitioned to a position as a Children's Service Worker with the State of Missouri. Kinnison then returned to Truman Medical Centers in 2008 as the Director of Inpatient Behavior Health Social Services, overseeing all social services functions and ensuring compliance with performance improvement standards. In 2019, they joined ReDiscover as the Clinical Director, a role they held until 2021. During this time, they also worked at Truman Medical Centers as a Continuous Improvement Leader. Currently, Kinnison serves as the Director of Adult Community Support at Comprehensive Mental Health Services, Inc.

Michelle Kinnison has a strong educational background with multiple degrees and certifications. Michelle obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a psychology emphasis in Human Behavior and Organizational Development from Avila University in 2004. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Webster University, completing it in 2008. Later, in 2010, Michelle earned another Master's degree, this time in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, also from Webster University.

In addition to their degrees, Michelle has also acquired various certifications. These include Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, obtained from CPI, Truman Medical Centers' Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and the Missouri Licensed Professional Counselor certification from the State of Missouri-Office of Administration.

It is worth mentioning that during the period of 1989 to 1991, Michelle attended Missouri Valley College, although no degree information was available for that time.
