Dr. Leonard Simon, CISSP

Dr. Leonard Simon, CISSP has over 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity field. In 2015, they began working at Compuquip Cybersecurity as an MSSP Firewall & Cloud Manager, vCISO, and Senior Security Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for managing the delivery of Managed Security Services, leading information security, investigating and resolving information security issues, and designing, implementing, and administering system security architecture for clients.

In 2016, they began working as an Adjunct Professor for American Public University System, teaching Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. In 2012, they began working as an Adjunct Professor for Florida International University's College of Engineering and Computing, teaching Enterprise Cybersecurity, Network Security, and IT Automation.

In 2017, they became a member of the InfraGard National Members Alliance (INMA). In 2018, they began working as an Instructor for Cybrary, creating course content and executing new course content across multiple domains, specifically on the topic of Information Security. Dr. Leonard also began working as an Adjunct Professor for Purdue University Global, Columbia Southern University, and Grand Canyon University, teaching Cybersecurity.

In 2021, they began working as a Cybersecurity Mentor for Springboard, assisting learners with technical and career guidance related to cybersecurity. From 2009 to 2017, they worked at Kaseya as an Information Security Council Member & Computer Security Incident Response Team Member (CSIRT), Support Manager (US), and Senior Technical Support Engineer.

Dr. Leonard Simon, CISSP has an extensive education history. Dr. Leonard obtained their Doctor of Information Technology (DIT) from Capella University in 2021, with a field of study in Information Assurance & Cybersecurity. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.S.) in Management Information Systems & Security from Nova Southeastern University in 2012. Dr. Leonard also obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Technology, with a minor in Business, from Florida International University in 2009.
