Javier Sola

Javier Sola has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology consulting. Javier currently holds the position of Cyber Security Director at Compuquip Cybersecurity, which they started in January 2017. Prior to their current role, Javier worked as a Senior Security Engineer at the same company from May 2013 to December 2016.

Before joining Compuquip Cybersecurity, Javier worked as an Information Security Consultant at Royal Caribbean International from April 2011 to May 2013. Javier also worked as a Technology Consultant at Sola Ventures, Inc from June 2002 to May 2013.

Javier has a background in network and information security engineering, as they held positions such as Information Security Engineer and Network Engineer at BankUnited from January 2009 to January 2011 and April 2006 to April 2009, respectively.

Additionally, Javier has experience as an IT Manager and Network Administrator at MOS Imaging from January 2005 to April 2006, and as a Network Administrator at EAC Consulting from January 2004 to December 2005.

Javier started their career in the technology field as a Desktop Support at Applica Consumer Products, where they worked from 2000 to 2003.

Javier Sola obtained their MBA degree in Business from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, attending from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University, studying from 2002 to 2006. In terms of certifications, Javier holds several qualifications. In 2016, they obtained the CheckPoint Certified Security Master certification from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. In 2014, they earned the Symantec Data Loss Prevention 12 certification from Symantec. Javier also holds the CheckPoint Certified Security Expert certification, obtained in 2013, as well as the CheckPoint Certified Security Administrator certification, obtained in the same year. In 2013, they also obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. Javier'searliest certification is the VMWare Certified Professional certification earned in 2009.
