David Murphy

David Murphy is a seasoned events manager and tech conference producer with extensive experience in organizing high-profile programs and initiatives. Currently serving as the Senior Events Manager at the Computer History Museum since 2022, David manages complex events focused on AI and technology, partnering with industry leaders like Google and featuring renowned figures such as Reid Hoffman. Previously, as the Founder and CEO of TechFire, David established a nationally recognized tech conference series, organizing over 60 events. David also co-founded Angelenos Against Gridlock, where innovative strategies for tackling traffic issues in Los Angeles were pursued, securing funding from prominent tech billionaires. Earlier experience includes roles at the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, Claremont McKenna College, and Spencer Stuart, highlighting a strong background in public affairs, research, and event coordination. David holds a B.A. in Government from Claremont McKenna College.
