Ajay Patel

Ajay Patel is currently serving as the Chief Procurement Officer at Emory University since July 2025. Previously, Ajay held the position of Executive Director of Procurement and Business Services at Georgia Institute of Technology from November 2011 to July 2025, overseeing all P2P activities including Procurement, Accounts Payable, Travel, Assets, Insurance, and Surplus. Ajay's extensive experience in procurement also includes roles as Director of Procurement at JEA, Manager of Procurement and Contracts at Georgia-Pacific LLC, Senior Buyer at Ford Motor Company, and Buyer at Photocircuits Corporation. Ajay holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
